Libra and Aries
This made-in-heaven couple will probably have an easy and enjoyable time raising a child together. Both parents are of the "immediate intervention" school of caretaking, so rarely will your baby be left crying or wanting for food or attention. Friction could come in when it comes to how your child will be trained and played with, though. Aries will believe in the invulnerability of the human body, encouraging everything from gymnastics for rugrats to college football for girls. Libra, meanwhile, will worry about any marks that might be left on baby’s delicate body -- and psyche. You two can compromise by avoiding unilateral decisions, and insisting on open discussions. Aries will be direct in a fight, but Libra’s passive-aggressive actions will probably win it. Libra and Taurus
Because both Libra and Taurus are ruled by Venus, you two get along as co-parents, but not because you always see things the same way. Taurus will want the child to be grounded, tactile, and sensible, while Libra will always try to find ways to stimulate the child intellectually, and do everything possible to encourage the child’s appreciation for beauty, art, music, peace, and justice. The children who have you two as parents will enjoy one of the most lenient households around. Gemini is accepting and able to see almost any behavior as being part of the developmental process. Your children could probably run rampant around an environment with such poor boundaries, but that probably won’t be the case. As two Libras you’ll rise to the occasion of being caring and hard-working parents ... as long as you have a lot of help! Libra people like to work when the work appeals to them. The daily grind or raising children, including such not-so-glamorous acts as changing diapers and wiping noses, might not hold enough appeal. Between the two of you, you should be able to fairly divide the parental duties, though. You will also want to share every step of your children’s journey. To Libra, if something happens and no one is there to watch or hear it along with them, the experience just isn’t real. You two can be somewhat wishy-washy when it comes to discipline. Although you’re more than capable of letting children know when they’re in trouble, you’ll only enforce the punishment if it isn’t too much hard work. A strong-willed nanny or older relative might have to intervene.
Libra and Scorpio
Libra and Scorpio are two totally different kinds of parents. Libra likes to let things ride, and often will avoid confrontation because it disturbs the peace they needs. Scorpio, on the other hand, is always prodding around at people’s deepest feelings, to make sure they own up to them and don’t miss any opportunity to be the best person possible. Scorpio will do this not only to children, but also to the Libra co-parent. As long as you two understand your individual personalities as well as the nature of your relationship, you should be rather successful as parents. Scorpio obviously makes the better disciplinarian, but Libra will often have to step in to settle the inevitable struggles between parent and child. You two make a very likeable couple, and you’ll totally enjoy the experience of being parents. You will recognize the meaning of "pride and joy" from the moment you meet your first baby. Libra will be proud that such a beautiful creature has graced the earth, and Sagittarius will be overjoyed to have someone to play with! The daily routine will need some work if you two ever hope to get it established. Libra has a tendency to put off getting down to work, and Sagittarius often becomes distracted and scattered. Neatness could become an issue rather early on, as the pileup of laundry and equipment becomes an avalanche. Libra and Aquarius make good friends, but you must struggle as parents to get beyond the realm of the theoretical. Although it can be a good thing to do research and gather a variety of opinions when it comes to raising children, you two will have to draw the line when you realize you have so many books lying around the house that there’s no room left for the family to sit together and enjoy a nice meal. Parenting is mostly a hands-on experience, and there could be a few struggles over who is going to get his or her hands dirty most of the time. Libra will be able to work a fair schedule that either involves both parents, or relies on a nanny or caring relative to jump in when needed. Libra and Pisces
You two gentle souls will make loving and gracious parents, but you may not be prepared for the realities of bringing up children. At the beginning, you can easily get lost in the joy of giving birth or adopting a child. You’ll shower your children with gifts and coo over them as though nothing else in the world will ever matter. This is good for the children ... until they want to claim their independence. It’s likely that Libra and Pisces will have to deal with separation anxiety once school starts -- theirs! Your children might be glad to get out into the world, where they’ll assume things are as sheltering as their own home environment, but you two won’t want them to go. Discipline can also be a problem, as neiher of you is great with boundaries; but when pushed to the limits, Libra will lay down the law.
