Oubria Tronshaw

Oubria Tronshaw is a writer, teacher, and practical magician. After beginning her study of Tarot in 2016, she noticed a lack of representation that inspired her to develop the Melanated Classic Tarot Deck. She worked with artist Julia Goolsby and "created the deck she wanted to use," which they released in 2019. Oubria now leads the Melanated Classic Tarot Academy, an online school that teaches the meanings of the Major and Minor Arcana via their roots in Astrology.
Oubria holds a BA from the College of Santa Fe and an MFA from Chicago State University, both in Creative Writing. She lives and works in the Bay Area of California.
